The Special K Diet Plan

You are no doubt aware that there are literally dozens and dozens of diet programmes that are readily available for you to try. Almost all of them are advertising that they will help you lose weight fast and they have many happy customers you can see. So often, it is really difficult to know which one to choose and you can waste a lot of time deciding. So I thought I would let you know about one that a friend had some success with – The Special K Diet Plan.

Special KThe Special K Diet Plan has been created by Kellogg’s the cereal company, yes Special K is cereal you have for breakfast. It has been widely advertised on TV and in magazines and they state it is proven to help you lose up to 6 pounds in just two weeks. But does it really work? Well my friend told me she lost weight by following it, so I guess it does work.

So What Exactly Do You Have To Do?

Well, it’s actually quite an easy diet programme to follow. All you need to do is replace two meals with a bowl of Special K cereal. So have one bowl for breakfast, then replace your lunch or dinner with another bowl. They also recommend having fruit with the cereal for extra nutrition.

How Does It Help You To Lose Weight?

Well by eating a bowl of cereal instead of a full meal you will be eating fewer calories. By eating less calories each day your body will begin using up your stored fat and turning it into energy. That is basically it. My friend didn’t lose 6 pounds in 2 weeks but she did lose 2-3 pounds (Although I don’t think she stuck to it each day!).

So although the Special K Diet Plan is a very simple programme to follow, it should work and you should lose some weight. Apart from exercising each day, what more do you want from a diet?
